As you can see I have changed some,
mostly physically and psychological. This and another class left little time
for me outside of my main responsibilities to my family and work. I can say
without a doubt that the concepts and methods in this course helped me grow and
achieve some of my personal goals. I am still smoke free and am working out as
I had stated in Unit 3 and I have also lost fourteen pounds of the twenty
five pounds I gained while kicking the habit. My spiritual and psychological health was
relatively good when I first started and I have not made much of a change to
those aspects in my life. I still intend to go to Worship Service and Sabbath School
more often. Let’s hope that I can make more time after this term ends!
I met over half of my Unit 3 Goals as I
lost more than half of the weight I
gained from quitting smoking and I am journalizing my stress, physical and
nutrition habits daily. I feel quite confident in my integral health journey
and I am sure that my “Happy Trails” are just beginning!

HiLisha,
ReplyDeleteI am so very proud of you progress is the key and nothing good occurs overnight. Enjoy your change and watch it manifest itself in your life and body. You are my "Bomb" classmate and I know it will. let nothing move you, be unmoveable, unshakeable, like a rock. Yes I use to smoke also. lol When I had my husband, never drank, or used any other substance. But the journey changes you, and you babe already have a light in you; your page tells a story. Be Blessed
Lisha, congrats on losing weight! It is a hard thing to accomplish but after quitting a bad habit and losing weight you will feel amazing and it will all be worth it1 keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHey Lisha
ReplyDeleteIt has been great sharing this journey with you if no one has told you I’m proud of you kicking the cigs is tough but smoking cessation has done you right. I sure am thrilled with this course it has essentially honed some regiments, solicited a authentic reflection of myself and sparked some wonderful thought I not gonna say good bye because I will probably peekin’ in on ya from time to time! Stay beautiful!
Peace
Vinnie
Hi Lisha,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are doing great and continuing to work towards your goals. Smoke free and lost weight? That is AWESOME! Congrats! Before the weight loss and during it, it can be a struggle BUT the results are such a beautiful thing. Again congrats and keep up the good work! :)
Congrats on your progress! Especially staying smoke free, I know how hard it can be to kick a habit like smoking. Change is hard especially when kicking destructive habits but it sounds like your definitely on the right path!!! Wish you luck :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lisha,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your success in the weightloss department! I know how hard it is to lose those last 10-15 lbs and it seems that you are well on your way. We did have a lot to do this term and there wasn't much time for anything else, that is with kids, families, work etc., hopefully you will find the time this upcoming break to relax and do things just for the fun of it. Just remember, life is a journey not a destination and this quote (by Abraham Lincoln I believe) comes often to my mind
"It's not the years in your life that matter, but the life in your years."
With that I wish you all the best, maybe I will see you again in another class! :)

Yay! Good for you for keeping yourself smoke free! Totally worth the weight gain, because you are now healthier and stronger from it. It takes a lot of strength to kick that habit. I was a heavy smoker for years and years, quit when I was pregnant, then picked it up after she was born...it didn't take long for me to look at that little face and know I didn't want her smelling like a butt! I've been smoke free for over 4 years now :) Good luck on your journey...sounds like you are on the right path already!
